Ever since our business was founded, we knew we wanted to be able to support a variety of different charities/causes throughout the year.
Below you can find a full comprehensive list of the charities that we have supported in the past. Along the main menu of this website, you'll be able to find a short breakdown of which charities we have supported, a link to the product, a photo of the handmade ribbon keyring, and a final count of how much was donated at the end of the month.
While we don't have much of a following to have raised a significant amount for these organizations, we firmly believe that every dollar counts, which is why we will most certainly continue!
๐ Stay tuned to our social media for future charity months.

Huntington Society of Canada - The Month of May
It's not a common disorder or illness, like cancer or bipolar, and until the last few years, I had never even heard of it. Many who read this may have never heard of it, or they have but don't know much about it.
As the statistics say above;
1 in 7000 people in Canada is currently living with Huntington's.
1 in 5500 people are at risk of inheriting the disease.
1 in 1000 people is affected by the disease (family members, friends, etc..)
The basic definition for Huntington's, according to the Huntington'sย Society of Canada is, "Huntington disease (HD) is a hereditary, neurodegenerative illness with physical, cognitive and psychiatric symptoms ... it is a progressive disease with symptoms increasing in severity over time. Every child of a person with HD has a 50% chance of inheriting the gene which causes the illness. As a result, Huntington's disease can affect family members in successive generations"
There is currently no cure but there are medications that can help reduce some of the symptoms. Research and studies are currently being conducted around the world and many have their fingers crossed that a cure will be discovered soon.
For the month of may, 50% of the purchase price for a dark blue and purple ribbon is given to the Huntington Society of Canada.
